Senior Project Manager

Overview

In this role, you’ll be our client’s trusted point person, owning and managing multiple campaigns for one of our client’s most successful and engaging email channels. You will be working with a multi-disciplined team to track and manage content and creativity throughout the creation and approval process to deployment and analysis. Your duties will include overseeing monthly content and creative, creating testing documentation, and assisting with email testing and Q&A. You will own and execute multiple work streams of the channel from start to finish.

Success in this role means having great relationships with our clients, being a savvy problem solver, having precise attention to detail, managing multiple deliverables, being well organized, and pushing our company and clients toward their revenue-driving goals.

You will report directly to our Director of Email Operations.

Responsibilities  

  • Deepen existing relationships with clients
  • Run daily internal scrum meetings and client status meetings where you will communicate directly around timelines, processes, and deliverables
  • Lead and schedule necessary project-related meetings
  • Own and update status sheets
  • Track and manage content and creativity through reviews, approval, and distribution of final assets.
  • Be able to go through important content deliverables with a fine-toothed comb, using dedicated attention to detail to look out for any errors before delivering to the client, achieving consistency in feedback across all relevant deliverables
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans that accurately reflect the status of all active projects
  • Track and manage project burn
  • Oversee multiple project plans and strict deadlines at one time
  • Bring a positive, solution-oriented mindset to tackling problems and help unify and motivate colleagues
  • Optimize and improve processes over time
  • Have an understanding of wider email trends and the ability to bring knowledge to the project you’re owning

What the role requires

  • 4+ years experience in email marketing at an agency, Fortune 500 company, or consultancy, especially within the financial services industry
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proven expertise with ESPs and email development
  • Proficiency with Movable Ink operations is a plus, but can be trained
  • A clear understanding and interest in the email channel
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage individual projects as well as the big picture
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Interest in data as content and how it can shape marketing strategies
  • Innate ability to translate the unknown into clear, actionable plans
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Maintain a complete understanding of client priorities and ensure all deliverables align with the overall strategic direction
  • Work closely with the project team to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status and to proactively identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the program
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive nature

  • Expertise and/or certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud 
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Suite

Salary Range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000
